General Alvin Ungerleider

This one-and-a-quarter times life sized bust is of General Ungerleider, who served in World War II, Korea, & Viet Nam.  Among other things, he was wounded at Omaha Beach & helped liberate Nordhausen Concentration Camp.  He was highly decorated, including two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars, & the French Legion of Honor medal.  This is the clay that was cast in bronze for his hometown of Carbondale Pennsylvania's Memorial Park--I didn't have time to photograph the bronze before sending it off straight from the foundry for the dedication.

Clay for bronze.
One-and-a-quarter times life size.
