Sierra Leone - A dream

One of my bronze, “Mountain Women” series, this is one of only two, so far, that is a nude. That makes it a little more challenging to see it as a landscape-inspired sculpture, but the landscape is there in the rolling hills of the legs and torso and in the natural bridges of her arm. The piece is named after the model, my wife, Sarah, and a song written about her by our friend Alicia Jacobs. The song came from a dream she had had about a visit to see Sarah Leon/Sierra Leone.

Bronze edition of 12.
5 x 27 x 5 inches.
