rabbi

This is a bronze sculpture of a Rabbi calling the faithful to prayer with his Shofar (ram's horn). His monolithic body and robes are firmly planted on the ground while the shofar twists upward to God.

The sculpture was commissioned by a Hindu man as a gift to his wife, a Presbyterian, who had converted to Judaism.  It is in the collection of The Museum of Spiritual Art in Franklin, Ohio and is part of an intended series of figures depicting figures in the practice of their religion.  The only other one I have made so far is my Greek Orthodox Priest, "Holy Man"
