One, two, three MArias
This “Mountain Woman” is one of the few that is a nude. The wood carving is a portrait of the mountain in Costa Rica called The Three Marias, which consists of a long, gradual slope (her legs) followed by three distinct peaks (her hip, shoulder & head). While I was carving it in Costa Rica, I kept hearing a song on the radio by Jakob Dylan with the line "One, Two, Three Marlenas" so I copped it.
