frances trollope
A Cincinnati Sculpture
I feel greatly honored to have been commissioned by The Mercantile Library in Cincinnati to create this bust of the British author, Frances Trollope, who lived in Cincinnati for a time and wrote, in addition to many novels, a rather caustic travelogue on America in 1832. The piece is now part of the library's collection of busts, (Cincinnati's oldest institutional art collection) by renowned sculptors such as Hiram Powers, Jean Antoine Houdon, Charles Bullett, & my mentor, Walter Driesback.
