Learn & Grow together (Kathy Jackman)
A Hamilton, Ohio Sculpture
This bronze sculpture grouping on granite benches honors Kathy Jackman who founded a pre-school at the Westover Retirement Center in Hamilton, Ohio. It was for the occasion of her retirement. She also taught there, often using music and her guitar as a tool. The elderly man in the group represents the retirees whose lives have been enriched by the presence of the youngsters (& vise versa), and symbolizes that learning and teaching never stop. The closeness of the children to the adults and their eye contact with one another illustrate the loving bonds established at Kathy's school.
